I am using windwos 7..In the past if I wanted to put a link from someplace into the body of the post I simply copied and pasted it and it was in the body as a direct link. Did the same from Polyamorous email setting up the group post but the links from her email which all work would not in my post.
Does anyone out there (Im sure you do) know how to create a hyper link and put it into the body of a post. do I just type in the web address, and does anyone know why I can not copy a link and put paste into windows 7?

That's weird. I just switched from XP to 7 and everything's working pretty much the same.
Are you trying to add the link via Blogger's editor? And to clarify, is the issue that the link you add isn't becoming "clickable" when you paste (in other words, is the URL showing only as text)?
If the problem is that the link is not becoming clickable (or "hyperlinked"), it may be that you're posting from the "Edit HTML" editor view. Switch to "Compose" view.
Either way, you should be using the "hyperlink" icon (a globe with a link from a chain) in the Blogger editor to hyperlink a piece of text. A separate pop-up window should open, where you paste the link.
There could be a couple reasons.
To add a link you need to format it as such.
-------------
<a href="http://www.example.com">My Link!</a>
-------------
It will look like this.
My Link!
Also if you Copy/Paste from Microsoft word / email editor you may be creating issues.
Try to copy/paste the link into NotePad to see if Word is adding any additional characters.

I’m not sure if this is the information you are after. If not I’m sure someone else will help.
Suppose I want to link to your post from inside my own post, this is what I do:
1) Go to the page in you blog I want to link to; use the left mouse button to select the URL address at the top of the page; right click and select “copy”.
2) In the text of your post, choose the word(s) you want is use to provide the link; use the left mouse button to select them.
3) Now click on the link button above the text of your post (to me it looks like the green head of a bull with white horns); this opens the hyperlink dialogue box.
4) Delete the http:// (because you have already picked it up at stage 1) and paste in the URL address which you copied at stage 1.
In the text of your post, the word(s) you selected as a link are highlighted and underlined. Clicking on this will take you directly to the other blog-page, BUT this will replace your own blog page unless you proceed as follows:
1) Above your post, click on “Edit Html”
2) Search through the code to find the word(s) you chose for your link. It will follow the URL address you copied and will be preceded by the forward-arrow sign.
3) Click in front of the forward-arrow sign and type in the following: target=“_blank”
Now you can check by clicking on “Preview” above your post. This time the page you link to will open in a new page. If it’s okay, save you post as usual.
